Chief Content Officer, Morning Edition Host
Todd is Chief Content Officer at Michigan Public Media. He
oversees programming for MPM’s radio, television and
Internet channels, working with
staff to develop new programs, leverage new technologies, and increase the value of the broadcasting services from the University of Michigan to
the communities they serve.
Todd also conducts interviews and hosts specials on Michigan Radio and Michigan Television. His credits include “The Todd Mundt Show”, a daily
interview program syndicated nationally on NPR from 1998-2003
and Morning Edition, which he's hosted on Michigan Radio since 1997. He co-hosted PBS’s national coverage of the Millennium in 2000, and has hosted
Iowa Public Television specials and live productions for 9 years. He has narrated several documentaries, most recently “Michigan Football
Memories” for Michigan Television and “A Century of Iowa Architecture” for Iowa Public Television.
Todd began his radio career at the age of 14. He's a graduate of Iowa State University, where he gained his first public broadcasting experience
at the age of 18, and his first national radio experience producing and occasionally anchoring “Marketplace Morning Report.” Todd began his
professional career in 1989 at WNIU/WNIJ, the NPR stations of Northern Illinois University,
where he hosted classical music and Morning Edition. He returned to Iowa State University in 1994 as
Morning Edition and Midday program host at WOI-AM/FM. In 1997, he joined Michigan Radio.
